West Star Aviation Names Connor Mottice Regional Sales Manager for Ohio Valley Region

West Star Aviation announces the appointment of Connor Mottice as regional sales manager for the Ohio Valley region, serving customers across Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee and Eastern Canada. Mottice steps into the role with more than a decade of experience at West Star Aviation, bringing a strong background in maintenance, quality, and technical sales.

Mottice holds an associate degree in specialized technology and is a licensed A&P technician.

Joining the company in February 2015 as an A&P/structures tech II in Columbia, SC, Mottice steadily advanced through a series of leadership positions, building a reputation for technical expertise, customer focus, and operational excellence. In April 2016, he was promoted to Bombardier team lead, where he managed crews of technicians while overseeing multiple projects at once and maintaining direct responsibility for aircraft from start to finish. In that role, he was instrumental in ensuring the quality of work delivered to customers and upholding the standards West Star Aviation is known for throughout every stage of the maintenance process. In August 2020, he was promoted to quality control inspector, where he inspected corporate aircraft across West Star’s capabilities list to ensure airworthiness and generate accurate maintenance records. He moved into a customer-facing role in April 2022 as technical sales manager, leveraging his technical background and deep industry knowledge to help customers identify and execute solutions tailored to their maintenance needs. Most recently, in April 2026, he was promoted to manager of Technical Sales in Chattanooga (CHA), where he led a team of eight technical sales representatives.

Now, as regional sales manager for the Ohio Valley, Mottice looks forward to connecting directly with customers throughout the region and applying his broad operational and technical experience to support the business aviation community.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to get out into the region, meet with customers, and use the experience I’ve gained throughout my career at West Star to support their aircraft maintenance needs,” Mottice says. “Having worked in the hangar, in quality control, and in technical sales, I understand the importance of service, communication, and trust. I am looking forward to building strong relationships across the Ohio Valley.”

Mottice succeeds Dave Godo, who will remain with West Star Aviation as a brand ambassador. Godo will continue to be available to customers and will assist in transitioning his portfolio to Mottice while continuing his long-standing representation of the West Star brand.

A trusted advisor to customers throughout the Ohio Valley for more than 15 years, Godo has long been a familiar and respected presence in the region. Known affectionately by many for answering the phone, “West Star Dave,” he has become synonymous with personal service and trusted guidance for generations of customers. West Star expects Godo to continue serving as an ambassador for years to come.

“I’m incredibly thankful to West Star Aviation for all of the years I’ve been able to shake hands, travel to customers, and build relationships throughout this industry,” says Godo. “This is just another chapter for me in an industry filled with people I truly love, and I’m excited that I’m able to stay here and continue to make a difference.”

“Dave has been a mainstay in the Ohio Valley and a valued resource for so many of our customers over the years,” says Brian Howell, chief commercial officer. “We are grateful that he will continue in an ambassador role, and we are equally excited to have Connor step into this position. Connor’s progression through West Star, from technician to quality inspector to sales leadership, gives him a unique perspective that will serve customers exceptionally well.”
