The Aircraft Electronics Association announces the recipients of its annual Avionics Training Excellence Award, recognizing member companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to ongoing education through participation in AEA-approved training programs. A total of 33 member companies earned the 2025 honor.

FAA Sends Mobile Air Traffic Tower to St. Thomas

In the wake of Hurricane Irma’s destructive path through the Caribbean, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is supporting storm recovery efforts in the U.S. Virgin Islands with a fully-staffed mobile air traffic control tower at Cyril E. King International Airport in St. Thomas. The tower was fully operational at 9:40 a.m. September 13 and is now supporting relief flights by the U.S. military, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, general aviation and limited commercial flights.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) will once again host its popular annual Careers in Business Aviation Day on Thursday, Oct. 12 during the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas, NV. Career Day, a free event for all registered students, faculty and chaperones, kicks off at 9 a.m., and will feature a special keynote presentation, followed by the College/University Roundtable session, as well as opportunities for students to visit the NBAA-BACE exhibit hall and static display of aircraft.

In this role, she will focus on developing business relationships and introducing potential customers in the South Central Region, which includes Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, to Duncan Aviation’s Engine Services.

Following FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) authorization for InSight, Universal Avionics announces FAA supplemental type certification (STC) for the new display system installed on the Cessna Citation VII aircraft. FAA STC No. ST02654LA covers the installation of the InSight Display System, Engine Interface Unit (EIU), TAWS Class A, and UNS-1Fw SBAS-Flight Management System with ADS-B Out.
