McFarlane Alaska Expands Backcountry Portfolio with Acquisition of T3 Tailwheel Product Line

McFarlane Alaska announces the acquisition of the T3 Tailwheel product line, officially bringing the trusted brand into the McFarlane Alaska portfolio. After years of manufacturing and supporting T3 products through a close working relationship, this acquisition represents a strengthening of said relationship and the future of the brand while ensuring continued quality and customer support for the pilots and mechanics who use them daily.

The acquisition positions McFarlane Alaska to invest further in the growth of the T3 platform through expanded manufacturing capability, new product development, increased inventory support, and the introduction of additional products designed to serve both existing customers and emerging market opportunities. Backcountry pilots can count on the same performance they have always expected, now backed by the resources and infrastructure of the broader McFarlane Alaska operation.

The T3 Tailwheel Suspension System has earned a strong reputation among backcountry pilots for improving shock absorption, reducing wear and tear, and enhancing handling on rough terrain. Today, the T3 product family supports a wide range of aircraft, including the Piper PA-18 Super Cub, Cessna 170, Maule, Aviat Husky, Kitfox, Glasair, RANS, and other popular taildraggers. McFarlane Alaska also offers complementary tailwheels, giving pilots a complete range of landing gear options for demanding off-airport operations. The result is a proven lineup of products designed to help aircraft perform reliably in the toughest backcountry environments.

All products are available now through McFarlane Alaska.

"We are incredibly proud to bring the T3 product line fully into McFarlane Alaska," says Sean McLaughlin, CEO of McFarlane Alaska. "These are products that backcountry pilots depend on to fly safely in some of the most demanding environments in the world, and it was important to us that they remain in the right hands. I am confident pilots and mechanics will continue to get the products and support they rely on for years to come."
