ILS and Block Aero Announce API Integration to Power a More Connected, Traceable Aerospace Supply Chain

Inventory Locator Service, LLC (ILS), a dynamic aerospace marketplace and intelligence platform, announces a new integration partnership with Block Aero Technologies (“Block Aero”), an aviation asset management software provider — an agreement that will connect their respective platforms and deliver a more seamless digital experience for customers.

ILS connects buyers and sellers across 125+ countries, empowering aerospace professionals to efficiently find, buy, sell and analyze aviation parts and services. Block Aero delivers a private, permissioned blockchain-based platform that supports asset traceability, documentation management, and secure collaboration across the aviation ecosystem. As part of the agreement, ILS will provide application programming interface (API) connectivity to the Block Aero platform. Suppliers using Block Aero will have an integrated company logo displayed alongside their ILS inventory listings, signaling to buyers that documentation for those parts is available.

“At ILS, we continue to prioritize part provenance because it promotes a more transparent ecosystem where buyers can operate with confidence,” says Ashley Neeley, VP of Product Services at ILS. “When documentation is accurate, accessible and embedded directly into the workflow, it reduces friction, builds trust, and strengthens accountability across the entire aviation aftermarket community.”

Together, the integration aims to reduce fragmented processes and improve data flow between internal asset-management systems and marketplace activity, helping aerospace organizations operate with greater efficiency and visibility.

“ILS has long been committed to helping aviation companies connect more efficiently with the global marketplace,” says John Herrman, GM and EVP of ILS. “Our integration with Block Aero extends that mission by giving customers a more connected and streamlined way to manage asset data while accelerating parts sourcing and sales activity.”

"As the aerospace aftermarket becomes increasingly digital and interconnected, customers expect their technology providers to work seamlessly together,” says Todd Siena, CEO of Block Aero. “I still remember my first day at our family-owned parts distribution facility in Florida, where ILS was the go-to source for finding parts. Eighteen years later, it’s an honor to announce that Block Aero is integrating with ILS. This integration will streamline buying and selling for our shared customers and enhance data exchange across organizations, creating a more efficient and connected marketplace."

This partnership is expected to support a wide range of aerospace industry stakeholders, including airlines, MROs, parts suppliers, lessors, asset managers and aftermarket service providers.
