VIH Aerospace (VIHA), a leading provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, announces the delivery of an upgraded Airbus AS350 to Helimax Aviation Limited on June 3, 2015.
“The upgrade to Helimax Aviation’s AS350 was comprised two elements. The first was the installation of a wire strike kit; which is a routine installation for the VIH Aerospace team,” explains Arne Arneson, general manager of VIH Aerospace.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) is closely evaluating an announcement, unveiled on June 10 by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), that the agency intends to consider new regulations for carbon emissions from aircraft, based on an a view by agency officials that such emissions may pose a human-health concern because they contribute to global warming.

On April 6, 1924, the Douglas World Cruisers (DWC) Seattle, Chicago, Boston, and New Orleanstook off from Sand Point, Seattle, westbound to their first rendezvous stop at Prince Rupert Sound. In several of my recent articles, I’ve discussed the requirements for documenting inspections that approved an aircraft for return to service. However, those articles didn’t discuss what happens when the inspection is completed without approving the aircraft for return to service. The latter situation raises questions I would like to discuss with respect to how and where maintenance entries must be made following an annual inspection with resulting discrepancies that are not corrected.

We are living in the age of social media. As of the first quarter of this year, Facebook had 1.44 billion monthly active users (those who have logged in to Facebook in the last 30 days).
Out of those 1.44 billion users, it’s safe to guess that large portions of them aren’t doing anything constructive — they are just making a lot of noise. You probably have Facebook “friends” like that. They can’t stop posting! “Just got out of bed. Need my cup of coffee!” “Going to the gym.” “On the way to work.”

Jet Aviation St. Louis is now authorized to manufacture and sell individual parts to customers and suppliers under the Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The PMA approval means Jet Aviation St. Louis can manufacture and stock parts that are needed frequently and can sell them to customers who can install the parts themselves.
