L-3 RASM-E is a diverse program with its headquarters located at Ft. Bragg, NC. Additional support sites are located on Hunter AAF, Savannah, GA; Ft. Drum, NY; Ft. Belvoir, VA;Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD; and West Point, NY. This position will be at the Ft. Bragg, NC headquarters location. L-3 is looking for an individual that is a self-starter, organized and detail oriented. This position requires the individual to work in all weather conditions servicing, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and overhauls aircraft and aircraft systems.Work hours are Monday-Friday day shift, but can vary due to the mission requirements. This position may need to work weekends and/or holidays as the mission requires. Hours will be set by the unit.Maintenance Test Pilots shall be proficient in flying operations of the aircraft they are assigned. Maintenance test pilots shall possess a current and valid ARMY or FAA Second Class Medical Certificate. Annual renewals of the medical certificates shall be the responsibility of the individual.Instrument Rating: Maintenance test pilots shall possess an instrument rating on their FAA commercial certificates. Instrument and night flights are not required by AR 95-20.Maintenance Test Pilot Prerequisites: The contractor's maintenance test pilots shall meet the qualification requirements of AR 95-20. Pilots shall have successfully completed US Army Aircraft Maintenance Officers Course (AMOC) Phase II or complete an equivalency evaluation IAW AR 95-1 and AR 95-20.Maintenance Test Pilot Physical Requirements: The contractor's maintenance test pilots shall undergo and successfully complete initially and annually thereafter, during their birth months, an Army or FAA second class flight physical. Re-examination of contractor's test pilots may be required when deemed by the Project Officer to be in the best interest of the Government. Contractor test pilots shall not perform flight duties when ill, after receiving medical treatment that may impair physical abilities required for flight or after receiving drugs from a civilian physician until properly cleared by a Flight Surgeon.Maintenance Test Pilot Proficiency: The contractor's maintenance test pilots shall undergo an annual flight evaluation conducted IAW AR 95-1, Para 4-7 and the appropriate Aircrew Training Manual (ATM). An Army/Government Test Flight Evaluator (MTFE) will conduct this evaluation. These evaluations must meet the requirements of AR 95-1. Currency shall be in accordance with AR 95-


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The contractor#8217;s maintenance test pilot shall be required to perform additional duties, at the direction of the Site Supervisor and in coordination with the Project Officer, when not performing actual flight. These duties may include the following:1. Aircraft Technical Inspection2. Chief Pilot duties (as assigned by the Site Supervisor)3. Ferry flights as approved by the GFR and KOEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must have completed AMOC (Phase II) OR completed an equivalency evaluation conducted by Directorate of Evaluation and Standardization (DES)Must have a current and valid ARMY or FAA Second Class Medical Certificate Must possess an instrument rating on their FAA Commercial CertificateMust possess FAA Commercial Pilot License (rotor craft)Must have at least 1000 hours of verifiable Pilot-in-Command CH47F flight time.Must be CH-47F 9.2.2 qualified (verified with certificate of training and/or 7122 Flight records entry)REQUIREMENTS:• Travel up to 25% of the time. • Must have a current or be able to obtain within 60 days and maintain the level of Industrial Security Clearance required by the Government. • Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for Common Access Card (CAC).PHYSICAL/WORK ENVIRONMENT MEDIUM - Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Must be demonstrated without assistance or use of additional equipment (e.g. step ladder), and in a timely manner. CLIMBING - Ascending or descending using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized, on to or off of Gulfstream wing as part of preflight, post flight, or after exiting over wing emergency exit. BALANCING - Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces; or maintaining body equilibrium when performing feats of agility, while on top of Gulfstream wing as part of preflight, post flight, or after exiting over wing emergency exit. STOOPING - Bending body downward and forward. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles, entering and exiting Gulfstream cockpit, exiting Gulfstream over wing emergency exit. CROUCHING - Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine, in order to inspect the underside of the Gulfstream wing and interior of the tail cone as part of preflight or post flight. HANDLING - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand, required for numerous tasks. DIGITAL DEXTERITY - Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling, required for numerous tasks. EXPOSURE TO WEATHER - Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather, while conducting exterior ramp operations such as preflight, post flight, and aircraft fueling. NOISE - Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds or a pitch or level sufficient to cause marked distraction or possible hearing loss, while conducting exterior ramp operations such as preflight, post flight, and aircraft fueling.
