We are constantly studying and evaluating our benefits programs and policies to better meet present and future requirements.The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) will troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulations.In your role, you will:bull; Adhere to General Work Requirementsbull; Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulationsbull; Perform inspection, make adjustments and repairs, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraftbull; Access and re-install aircraft components that obstruct the performance of assigned tasksbull; Perform essential mechanical and electrical removals and installationsbull; Document work performed per Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM)bull; Assist with fueling/defueling aircraft as requiredbull; Perform other tasks, for example, cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, and loads and secures ballast and/or freight as requiredbull; Assist Aircraft Engine Technicians and Electronic/Avionics Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing aircraftbull; Assist with repairs on components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edgesbull; Work on aircraft as well as in shopsbull; Assist with complex repairs at on-site and off-site locationsbull; Support aircraft manufacturing of prototype and flight test aircraft at off-site locationsbull; Support production aircraft under Production Certificate Systembull; May perform Designated Inspector (DI) function as qualified by QAbull; Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualificationbull; Troubleshoot aircraft for problems during routine inspectionsbull; Assist with troubleshooting and repairing interior and/or mechanical and electrical components per applicable flight test procedures during test flightsbull; Perform structural modifications or repairsbull; Perform engine removal and installationbull; Fabricate and assemble aircraft parts per engineering specificationsbull; Troubleshoot and perform repairs on components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edgesbull; Operate ground support equipment (GSE), for example, tugs, jacks, nitrogen and oxygen servicingContract to hire role with Bombardier QualificationsAs our ideal candidate,bull; You have an A P license - preferredbull; You have the ability to read and interpret engineering documents and repair manualsbull; You have the ability to fabricate and assemble various detail partsbull; You have the ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft discrepanciesbull; You have the ability to obtain tug operators licensebull; You have working knowledge of aircraft systemsbull; You have the ability to obtain engine run certification on Bombardier aircraft for assigned areabull; You have the ability to operate GSE, for example, tugs, jacks, nitrogen and oxygen servicingbull; You have the ability to use and interpret a variety of basic and precision measurement instrumentsbull; You have basic knowledge of aircraft systemsbull; You have the mechanical ability to use basic hand tools, for example, rivet gun, drill press, surface grinder, belt sander, sheet metal roller, foot shear, hand brake, 90 and 45-degree drillsbull; You have basic knowledge of the Production Certificate systembull; You have the ability to recognize potential electrical hazards to prevent injury to self or others.P1
