If you take pride in your work, want a challenge that inspires your best ideas, and enjoy being part of a winning team, this is the place for you.We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:Mechanic General(U.S. Citizenship Required*)Jacksonville, FL2018-6916 Responsibilities:•Aircraft Mechanic II #8211; Egress. •Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty•Maintain and repair aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.•Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions•Apply expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation•Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as blueprints or manufactures#8217; manuals. •Access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests.•Receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.•May be required to become ordinance certified for Aviation Life Support Systems Maintenance.•1st and 2nd shift.


Qualification:•Required #8211; able to obtain Secret clearance; active Secret clearance preferred. A minimum of an Interim Clearance must be obtained within 90 days of start date.•Required #8211; F-16 Egress experience.•Required #8211; able to work either shift to meet business requirements.•Required #8211; Explosives Physical, Crane Certification, and Flight Line Driver#8217;s License•Must be familiar with military style phase inspections •Types of maintenance and Levels of maintenance for fighter aircraft•Must be able to work well in a team style operational concept for safe handling of explosives•Must be willing to work in a flexible, Low Volume, High Demand environment, constant integrated change to support flight schedule and sustain modification work•Must be familiar with Military Forms, Logs and Records Processes, AFTO 391, AFTO 392, 781K, 781A•Thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts•Broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair•Basic knowledge of electrical theory•Thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. •Working knowledge of technical publications. •Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. •Must be able to Jack, Tow, and Operate various types of support at required to meet program needs. •Must have Formal Military Training on the ACES II Ejection System•Must have experience with Removal and Installation of Ejection Seat, Canopy, Parachute, Survival Kit, CRU-60/94*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract. Education and Experience: •High School Diploma or GED•5+ years of experience in those duties as previously on the F-16 Platform. •Must have formal ACES II Military education or equivalent. •Must have 5+ Years of Experience working to Military Tech Data in the execution of ACES II system maintenance.•Recent F-16 or other fighter aircraft experience preferred.
