JETTECH STC Approved: Garmin GTN 650/750 for Citation 550B/560

JETTECH, developing affordable, aftermarket aircraft solutions, announces it has received approval for an FAA supplemental type certificate (STC) for installing the touchscreen Garmin GTN 650/750 GPS/NAV/COM on Cessna Citation 550B and 560 series aircraft equipped with the Primus 1000 Integrated Flight Control System (IFCS).

The installation is engineered for an autopilot-coupled LPV/WAAS approach and includes a voice-activated intercom and ADS-B In and Out. The installation could potentially affect more than 1000 Bravo, Ultra, Encore and Excel Citation aircraft equipped with the Primus 1000 IFCS.

"Owners and operators of these aircraft have been looking for this kind of a dynamic touch-screen solution to upgrade their cockpits," says Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JETTECH. "With the LPV-integrated feature, pilots will have the highest degree of situational awareness available while opening up many more airport destinations that were only served with WAAS approaches."

The new STC is for a fully integrated GPS/NAV/COMM and also covers the installation of the Garmin GTX 33/3000/3X5 transponders, replacing the existing ‘hot mike’ audio panel with the integrated, voice-activated GMA 35; GA35/37 antennas; ADS-B In and Out; satellite weather and music.

JETTECH is offering STC installation data packages, AIU, and LPV annunciators through approved, Garmin-authorized dealers. Shipments are scheduled to begin immediately, and JETTECH stands ready to support its customers through the installation process.

In addition to the STC install for 550B/560 series Citations, JETTECH is working on an STC for autopilot-coupled LPV/WAAS for the Citation CJs equipped with the ProLine 21 Integrated Avionics System. For early CJs, JETTECH’s STC covers the installation of Garmin GTNs with coupled autopilot LPV-WAAS capability. Also, JETTECH owns the STC install for the Garmin G600 and GTN 650/750 touchscreen series GPS for the Citation 500 series that includes WAAS approvals.
