Elliott Aviation Pursuing ADS-B Solution for Hawker 800A/800XP/1000

Elliott Aviation, a Garmin retrofitter, is pursuing an ADS-B Out/In STC for legacy Hawker 800A/800XP/1000 airframes. The solution will have seamless integration with the RMU/RCZ radio package. It will not only allow operators to meet ADS-B Out requirements, but it will provide ADS-B In information to be displayed on a Bluetooth-connected mobile device with Garmin’s Flight Stream app. The STC is expected to cost aircraft operators considerably less than current available ADS-B options.

The installation includes dual remote-mount Garmin GTX-3000 smart transponders. It also includes a Garmin GDL-88, GA-36 and Flightstream 110 to provide WAAS/GPS to the GTX-3000. Elliott has used this remote-mount equipment previously to provide ADS-B solutions for the Premier I/IA and the 2002 and newer Pro Line 21-equipped Hawkers.

“The ADS-B mandate is coming soon, and we’ve been working hard to develop cost-effective solutions for aircraft operators,” says Conrad Theisen, director of Avionics Sales for Elliott Aviation. “We have been working on many STCs to provide ADS-B solutions that not only meet FAA mandates but give the operator valuable ADS-B information as well.”
