Lufthansa Technik launches Single Component Availability (SCA)

Lufthansa Technik AG is further expanding its offerings for the flexible supply of aircraft components in Russia. With its new product, Single Component Availability (SCA), airlines can now access high-quality components for sale, loan and exchange in a region that is characterized by special customs regulations.

As Dmitri Zaitsev, director Sales Eastern Europe & CIS at Lufthansa Technik, explains: “With Single Component Availability we are addressing the need of the Russian aviation industry for a local material support product that aircraft operators can access quickly, easily, transparently at extended office hours.”

The SCA product, with which Lufthansa Technik offers customers components for sale, loan and exchange worldwide, has been specifically adapted to the customs regulations and market requirements of the region. A specially created components warehouse at Moscow Domodedovo Airport is locally administered by Lufthansa Technik’s regional subsidiary Lufthansa Technik Vostok Services. As aresult, both routine queries and also the rapid replacement of defective parts in non-routine (Aircraft on Ground) situations can be handled.
