Gulfstream Opens Asia Customer Support Contact Center

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has enhanced its commitment to operators based in and traveling through the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of an Asia Customer Support Contact Center in Hong Kong.

The center is located at Gulfstream Product Support Asia headquarters in Tung Chung near Hong Kong International Airport. It supplements Gulfstream’s already considerable service and support presence in the region, which includes Paul Lu, director, Customer Support Asia; James Liang, regional sales manager, Product Support Sales Asia; Alex Law, Computer Maintenance Program (CMP) analyst; Ka Ming Lau, Materials distribution manager; Kun Wu, Materials lead; and three field service representatives.

The Asia Customer Support Contact Center will initially focus on over-the-counter sales and warranty support. Technical Operations personnel, to include avionics/electrical and technical/mechanical systems specialists for all Gulfstream models, will be added later this year.

“We chose Hong Kong for our Asia Customer Support Contact Center because of its central location in the region and the resources we’ve already established there to help customers,” says Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream Product Support. “It’s where we monitor our Asia-Pacific fleet, which has grown to more than 230 aircraft.”

Customers can reach the center in Hong Kong by dialing +1 912 965 4178 and selecting the “Asia” support option. Business hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday. Calls during off hours go directly to personnel in Savannah.

“Our staff in Savannah and Hong Kong has the experience and technical knowledge to handle urgent issues, including airframe, systems, parts and maintenance needs, and our CMP analyst in Hong Kong will gradually assume responsibility for a number of Greater China-based aircraft,” Burns says. “The staff speaks Mandarin, Cantonese and English, so information can be exchanged quickly and efficiently.”
