GROUND POWER UNIT

Tronair has incorporated a Cummins Tier Three QSB electronic engine into its 28.5vDC GPU. It uses a large digital display and diagnostics module to view engine parameters, maintenance timers and fault codes. The engine operates with diesel or jet A fuel with installed lubricity filter, and incorporates a fuel/water separator with water in fuel sensor and a large 35-gallon fuel tank for more than 12 hours of use. The engine operates at 1,800 rpm with 110 HP available. It has a six-phase alternator and rectifier for ultra-low DC output ripple, and an alternator excitation test switch for easy troubleshooting.
