FLIGHTSAFETY ENHANCES ITS PRATT & WHITNEY CANADA ENGINE TRAINING IN CHINA THROUGH A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH LUFTHANSA HNA TECHNICAL TRAINING

FlightSafety International announces that its Pratt & Whitney Canada engine training programs in China will now be offered in Haikou through a cooperative agreement with Lufthansa HNA Technical Training.

“FlightSafety is pleased to enhance the training it provides for maintenance technicians who support aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney Canada engines based in China and the surrounding region,” says Mike Lee, Director Maintenance Training, Business Development. “Our cooperative agreement with Lufthansa HNA Technical Training, and the relocation of the program from Beijing to Haikou, will further increase the quality and effectiveness of the courses.”

The courses will be provided by Lufthansa HNA Technical Training’s FlightSafety trained instructors. It will initially include PT6A Series and PW 100 Series turboprop engines. In addition to training the instructors, FlightSafety will provide all courseware and training engines that will enhance the classroom experience. This allows technicians to receive both theory and practical training and to meet the standards set by aviation regulatory agencies worldwide. They include the European Aviation Safety Agency, Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia, General Administration of Civil Aviation of China, Transport Canada, and the United States Federal Aviation Administration.

Lufthansa HNA Technical Training Co., Ltd. is a joint venture between Lufthansa Technical Training and HNA Technik, an independent MRO operator of Hainan Airlines. The company was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Haikou, in the province of Hainan P.R. China. Lufthansa HNA Technical Training offers a wide variety of training courses that range from Basic Training and Type Training to Component Training. All training courses meet the requirements of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

Training for Pratt & Whitney Canada engines is offered by FlightSafety in Brisbane, Australia; Curitiba, Brazil; Dallas, Texas; Haikou, China; Johannesburg, South Africa; Montreal, Canada; Singapore; Paris-Le Bourget, France; Toronto, Canada; West Palm Beach, Florida; and Wichita, Kansas.
