First JSSI Customer Still Covered after 25 Years

Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), the leading provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for the business aviation industry, concluded its 25th Anniversary celebration by recognizing the first client to enroll onto a JSSI Program at the National Business Aviation Association’s 2014 annual convention. In 1989, Boise Cascade Corporation was the first customer to enroll its Falcon 50 Honeywell TFE731 engines onto a JSSI hourly cost maintenance program, and they remain a customer today.

The popular TFE731 series engines were a good fit for hourly cost maintenance programs back in 1989, and many early JSSI customers flying Citations, Falcons, and Learjets were looking for options to help them manage the maintenance costs. JSSI introduced its programs to provide budget stability for these operators through a highly competitive cost-per-flight-hour service. The same advantages that set JSSI apart back in those days remain at the core of its business today with the largest, most experienced technical and client services teams in the industry and the ability to cover virtually any make and model of turbine powered business aircraft.

Over the years, those first Falcon 50 engines enrolled onto the JSSI Engine Program have gone through numerous Major Periodic Inspections (MPI), Core Zone Inspections (CZI) and engine overhauls with the aircraft logging more than 9500 flight hours since it all began. And all these major events were covered by JSSI. The program value has stood the test of time as the Falcon 50 engines have remained covered by JSSI for 25 years. The first customer, just like thousands of JSSI customers, count on JSSI for dependable engine maintenance coverage today and 25 years from now, without any surprises.

“I give Boise Cascade Corporation a lot of credit for taking a chance on JSSI 25 years ago. At the time, they had no way of knowing that we would be here today, 25 years later,” states Neil
Book, president and chief executive officer for JSSI. “As we reflect once more on the history and success of JSSI, we are so grateful to Boise Cascade Corporation, to all of our loyal customers that followed and to our partners, the skilled maintenance facilities that work closely with us to serve our mutual customers,” adds Book.

The year-long anniversary celebration has included recognition of several loyal customers at various industry events. A special JSSI AirWays publication marking the 25-year milestone was distributed at NBAA, featuring articles by many industry leaders that reflect on a quarter of a century of business aviation success. JSSI topped off its 25th Anniversary year with a reception at the NBAA convention on Wednesday, October 22nd from 3:30 – 5:30 PM at Booth # 1206 with a special recognition of the first client, refreshments, music and more.
