Breeze-Eastern Teams with Priority 1 Air Rescue To Expand and Improve Operator Training Programs

Breeze Eastern Corporation announces plans to partner with Priority 1 Air Rescue for customer training. Under the terms of the 36-month service agreement, Breeze-Eastern’s commercial and military customers have the option to choose Priority 1 for operational hoist and winch training. Breeze-Eastern will continue to offer its own maintenance training, and Priority 1 will still provide customized and comprehensive training programs for all helicopter platforms and any hoist or winch system.

“This is an exceptional agreement because Priority 1 shares our commitment to leveraging innovation to improve every aspect of the rescue mission,” says Brad Pedersen, president and chief executive officer of Breeze-Eastern. “Together our companies offer unprecedented levels of mission expertise and understanding. Without question, working with Priority 1 will significantly improve the training experience for the Breeze-Eastern user community.”

“Priority 1 is proud to partner with Breeze-Eastern, and our team looks forward to jointly improving the safety, effectiveness and uniformity of rescue missions worldwide,” says Patrick Dennis, senior vice president-Training Solutions, Priority 1. “Our training techniques and programs are proven and refined in the field, and add an important dimension of value to Breeze-Eastern and its customers.” Dennis adds that Priority 1’s operational and classroom training may be provided at the customer’s location or at its Mesa, AZ complex and may be tailored to meet specific mission requirements.

The new approach to training is an example of how Pedersen is leveraging Breeze-Eastern’s position as the aerospace industry’s only dedicated hoist and winch specialist to continually improve and innovate. “We are 100% focused on hoists and winches,” Pedersen says. “It’s not one small part of what we do – it’s all we do. That’s why we are making aggressive changes and advances to bring customer- and mission-centric improvements to our products and services.”

In 2014, Breeze-Eastern unveiled a series of planned rescue hoist product enhancements and sensor integration concepts designed to improve situational awareness for rescue mission crews.
