Boeing Shanghai Signs Maintenance Agreement with Transaero Airlines
Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co., Ltd., (Boeing Shanghai) today announced the signing of a maintenance agreement with Russia-based Transaero Airlines for its Boeing 767 fleet. With this contract, Boeing Shanghai has secured all 767 operators in Russia as heavy maintenance customers.
The first Transaero 767 was inducted for a C-check in late January, followed by another airplane nose-to-tail in Boeing Shanghai’s facilities at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. A C-check is an extensive check of the airplane’s systems and components that can require several days to perform.
“In our opinion, Boeing Shanghai is a company of the highest world standard and the qualifications of its specialists meets Transaero’s requirements in full. We truly believe that our cooperation will be productive and mutually beneficial,” said Michael Korobovich, deputy director general, head of technical department, Transaero.
“The contract reflects Boeing Shanghai’s reputation in the Russian market and we appreciate Transaero Airlines’ trust in our services,” said Dermot Swan, CEO of Boeing Shanghai. “Boeing Shanghai is committed to providing flexible maintenance services with exceptional value and competitive pricing to Transaero Airlines for mutual business expansion. We look forward to a long-term partnership with them.”
