Baker Aviation names Joe Wehrle Director of AviationBaker Aviation, a full service aircraft maintenance, management and charter company in North Texas, announces that industry veteran, Joe Wehrle has been appointed to director of aviation.

With more than 30 years of maintenance experience in business aviation, many refer to Joe Wehrle as a troubleshooter extraordinaire. Joe’s successful career began as a line technician for Atlantic Aviation. A few years later Joe created his own MRO business, named Aeromech that he owned for 22 years during which he acquired an FAA Part 145 Certified Repair Station to further expand the business.

Joe first connected with Baker Aviation in 2011 when he and his team impressed the Bakers with quality maintenance for its Ft. Worth based charter fleet. The Bakers retained much of Joe’s team from Aeromech and engaged Joe as an engineering consultant.

As the new Director of Aviation for Baker Aviation, Joe will remain as the accountable manager for the maintenance activities and will have the Chief Inspector/ Quality Manager, the DOM and the Senior Maintenance Manager/Tech Advisor reporting to him.

“Joe Wehrle’s experience, acute problem solving abilities and reputation precedes himself and we are proud to have him as our new Director of Aviation,” states Ray Goyco, Jr., President and COO for Baker Aviation. “As our growth plans in 2014 continue to unfold, I am confident that Joe will go above and beyond to manage our maintenance activities effectively and assure our future success.”

“We have great potential here in Addison, and I am honored to be a part of Baker Aviation,” commented Joe Wehrle. “We have a great team of technicians with extensive knowledge and that makes a huge difference when it comes to the cost of major inspections and the quality of work for the customers.”
