Duncan Aviation has 33 student summer internship opportunities available at the company’s three full-service facilities in Battle Creek, MI; Lincoln, NE; and Provo, UT. These paid internships allow students to learn more about the company and explore possible career paths in business-aviation service and support. Internships are being offered in airframe, engine, install, and interior production departments.

Duncan Aviation Expands Burn Testing Lab

Construction on the new Flammability Lab at the Duncan Aviation full-service facility in Battle Creek, MI, is to be completed next week. Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services is not only expanding the size of its burn lab, it is also expanding its testing capabilities to include the NexGen or Sonic Burner test, also known as the FAR 25.853 (b) Fire-Blocking test.

Duncan Aviation is recognized by Bombardier for its performance as a top authorized service facility in the support of Bombardier business-jet customers. Judged on a set of criteria that included superior quality, performance and effective customer-support, Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, NE, facility was named the winner of both the Overall and the North American categories of the 10th Annual Bombardier Authorized Service Facility (ASF) Excellence Awards.

Duncan Aviation announces its collaboration with Gulfstream Aeropsace Corp. has resulted in the development of a full-equipment supplemental type certificate (STC) for the Gogo Business Aviation (NASDAQ: GOGO) AVANCE L5 Wi-Fi system for the Gulfstream G200 and Galaxy airplanes. The complete Wi-Fi system operates on the Gogo Biz 4G network.

Duncan Aviation announces that its Engineering and Certification department has completed its eighth full-equipment supplemental type certificate (STC) for the Gogo Business Aviation (NASDAQ: GOGO) AVANCE L5 in-flight Wi-Fi system for Cessna Citation 750 aircraft. Duncan Aviation has completed seven additional STCs for this popular, reliable Wi-Fi system. The STC covers the Wi-Fi certification and full equipment and antenna installation required to provide in-flight connectivity to the Gogo Biz® 4G network. 

Duncan Aviation continues to take a proactive approach to finding ways to resolve the critical shortage of skilled technicians that’s expected in the industry in the next few years by announcing that the U.S. Department of Labor has endorsed the company's new Powerplant Apprenticeship program. Eight full-time technicians will begin their 24-month apprenticeships this month.
