FLSA CLASSIFICATION: ExemptDOT STATUS: Non-CoveredSHIFT: First ShiftPOSITION SUMMARY: The QA Auditor performs Internal Audits of company processes, equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements. The individual participates in audits of the company conducted by regulatory authorities, customers and other organizations and ensures the company implements necessary corrective actions. The QA Auditor conducts audits of suppliers as required.FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REPORTS TO: QA ManagerSUPERVISES: Non-Supervisory positionHUMAN INTERACTION/COMMUNICATION: In performing the job, an individual in this position experiences significant interface with his or her immediate supervisor, other managers and supervisors, lead workers, other employees, and contract workers.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:EXPERIENCE: Minimum five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience, airline or repair station experience. Minimum three (3) years of experience completing aircraft maintenance paperwork and document procedures. Minimum one (1) year of experience performing quality audits preferred. Must have working knowledge of regulatory requirements imposed by the FAA and EASA. Familiar with root cause analysis and corrective action development processes. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required.OTHER: FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate in good standing is preferred. ASQ or C.A.S.E. training highly desirable.COMPUTER SKILLS: Position requires proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.SAFETY: Work safely and follow safety rules and regulations.
