If you take pride in your work, want a challenge that inspires your best ideas, and enjoy being part of a winning team, this is the place for you.We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity: Product Repair/Mod Tech C(U.S. Citizenship Required*)Mountain Home AFB, ID2018-5391 Responsibilities:•Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft, components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.•Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.•Apply professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals. •Responsible for the proper performance of assignments and the prudent handling of product, tools and equipment. •Considerable care and judgment required to fit and adjust parts and assemblies to requirements and specifications and in performing various assembly and installation operations. •Work with the guidance of Management and peers; train and assist less senior employees. •May be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. •Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects. •Perform all duties of lower General Mechanic classifications as required to successfully accomplish assignments.

Requirements: 

Qualification:•Required #8211; Possess an interim secret clearance at a minimum.•Able to travel to other locations if required.•Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. •A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required. •The mechanic will be required to access aircraft data via computer systems and initiate on-line parts and discrepancy requests. •Must be able to obtain and maintain certification required for assigned work. *U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract. Education and Experience: •High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years#8217; related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
