Mechanical Technician - Ronkonkoma, NY6-9 Months Contract (Temp-Perm potential)1st Shift - 9/80 Schedule (Every other Friday off)8am - 5pm (9 hour shift, 1 hour lunch)$21-25/hr Target Rate (Can go higher after approval process for the right candidate)Job DescriptionAssembly and integration of mechanical components to create operational systems employing the following skills:Tube BendingFlaringCompression fittingsInstallation of transducers and other test instrumentsConnection of Tubing to and from measurement pointsVerification of Instrumentation (end to end check)Assembly of test articles and test equipmentTroubleshooting of mechanical and pneumatic systemsOperating, troubleshooting and maintaining a test facility for combustion test rigs and associated support systemsSupport and work with technical staff on various projectsAssistance with maintaining laboratory cleanlinessSecuring items to and from inventoryAbility to work to a schematicComponent installationValves, Regulators, Filters

Requirements: 

RequirementsMinimum 7-10 years' experience in aerospace industry or related field.Deep knowledge of mechanical and Pneumatic systems.Ability to work on and around High pressure and combustible gases.Must have ability to operate small hand tools.Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.Ability to work independently, safely, and well with others (team player).Ability to follow instructions and describe work performed.Knowledge of Soldering, Welding and brazing techniques a plus.Ability to operate in a dynamic work environment (i.e. come in early, stay late, offset lunch / break when required).
