SUMMARYInspect, fabricate, repair, modify and install aircraft structural components, assemblies and subassemblies on operating aircraft.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Fabrication, modification and repair of sheet metal and structural components of operating aircraftInstalls, removes, and replaces aircraft componentsRepairs and maintains operating aircraftEnsures that all inspections, preventive maintenance, modifications and documentation to the aircraft are completedCorrects discrepancies using information from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, or other documents as requiredUses manufacturing planning, tech manuals, written instructions, schematics, blueprints and other applicable technical data to assemble, install or replace aircraft componentsDocuments all aircraft maintenance actions using the required maintenance formsUses manufacturing shop stamp or test stamp to sign off completed work to include manufacturing planning, test procedures, inspection discrepancy records, product assurance records and applicable program documentationMaintain a clean, safe and healthy work areaUp to 10% travel nationally and internationallyOther duties may be assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNone

SKILLS AND ABILITIESMust have fabrication, modification and repair experience on operating aircraft.
