Duration 1 MONTHSDescription Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Fabrication Specialist C located in Titusville, FL. RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Skill Set - Welders - The critical skill we are looking for is tube orbital welding on aircraftWorks on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements. Uses orbital welding knowledge and skills to do precision tube fit up, on the product, and operate a portable orbital welder in a clean room environment. The job requires completion of (6) web based courses and on-site weld training. Assist with tube fit up and paperwork.

Requirements: 

EDUCATION: Accredited High School Diploma/GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (GED or HS Diploma Required) WORK HOURS:Full-Time/First Shift7 AM - 3:30 PM MISCELLANEOUS: Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information. This work assignment has been designated as "safety-sensitive" by the Client. Contractors assigned to safety-sensitive jobs at the Client site must first complete regulatory pre-placement requirements prior to reporting to assignment. Additionally, contractors assigned to safety-sensitive work will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal mandates.
