The Research Development (RD) Engineering team is tasked with the development of components and new technologies intended for evaluation on next generation aircraft. The Research Development (RD) Airframe Powerplant Mechanic will be responsible for installation of components, assemblies, and systems, performing maintenance, repair and alteration on aircraft.
This position is for Night Shift: Mon-Thurs 4:00pm-2:30amJob Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Maintain his/her assigned aircraft in airworthy condition and provide written evidence to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC), that the aircraft has been approved for return to service, after each maintenance event.
- Ensure that the PIC is fully aware of, and is following the applicable technical data and applicable civil aviation regulations.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturersrsquo; manuals or similar documents.
Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations. Heavy Depot level structural repair to include Avionics Modification, Bulkhead repair, and Precision drilling repair of wing attach fittings.

- 4+ years of on-aircraft general maintenance experience. Please clearly indicate on your resume your aircraft platform experience and years of experience with aircraft maintenance and modifications.
Provides support by installing electrical harnesses and performing operational checks, post modification testing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and avionics systems on aircraft. Assist with flight line maintenance as required. System testing, operational checks, and other avionics system troubleshooting.
