Duration1 year Description RESPONSIBILITIES:We are looking for self-motivated individuals that are willing to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment covering multiple programs within the Palmdale center of excellence, The Candidate will be required to use highly sophisticated computer aided metrology equipment that will require learning multiple software applications. The Candidate must provide and project an atmosphere focused on team building and collaboration across multiple individuals and across multiple shifts. Duties and responsibilities to include Lays out, fabricates and assembles a variety of standard and nonstandard major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master tooling gauges, and related tooling involving compound angels and complex contours where the establishment and coordination to exacting tolerances of numerous tooling holes and reference points between several planes are required. Plans work to be performed and determines methods and sequence of operations working from tool design drawings or own designs. Sets up and operates optical instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies. Develops and designs holding devices and jig and fixture details. Prepares operational sequences and shop drawings covering parts fabrication and assembly to be performed by others. The candidate May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.Positions requires candidates to work off of high ladders and portable platforms, heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience in the fabrication of Jig & Fixtures within an Assembly Tooling environment. Candidate must be experienced in the use of Computer-Aided Measurement Systems (C.A.M.S.) with an emphasis on (FARO-LEICA) Laser Tracking Systems. Experience in data collection for the Validation/Verification of Tooling and Engineering also coordination with M.E., QA, and Engineering to interpret, analyze, and advise on the data results. Candidate must be experienced with the building and reworking of Jig and fixtures. Familiar with Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc. Preferred Qualifications: An individual who possess a strong assembly tool fabrication background and is familiar with multiple computer aided metrology systems such as laser trackers, articulated arms, scanners etc. Also prefer experience in computer aided graphic interfaces such as Verisurf X, and Maya matrix BuildIT. Preferred experience in the ability to analyze collected data to computer models using CATIA V5 R26 is preferred. EDUCATION:Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. HOURS:4/10 workweek. Candidate are required to work any shift as well as overtime as necessary.
