Job Description:
Inspect aircraft, engines and auxiliary power units both on the hangar floor and a back-shop environment. Ensure maintenance practices are in conformance wit h FAA regulations.
Fill in for the Chief Inspector when necessary. Communicate with customers to satisfy their RTS and compliance requirements.

Primary Duties

Air Wisconsin Maintenance Controllers serve as the central coordination point for the airlinersquo;s technical operations. Maintenance Controllers utilize their knowledge of aircraft systems, mechanical experience, and good judgement to ensure safe and airworthy aircraft are made available to the flight operation in the most efficient manner possible.

  • Researches technical data and performs disassembly, repair, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, testing and calibration of aircraft components and company special tools and ground equipment in accordance with applicable maintenance manual, FAA regulations and Ascent Aviation Services policies and procedures.

SUMMARY:
The Avionics Maintenance Technician performs inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, removal and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems using basic hand tools and test equipment to meet manufacturer's specifications, FAR's, industry standards in a safe and organized work area.

Marginal Job Functions:

  • Research technical data and performs inspection of hangared aircraft in heavy maintenance checks, of flight line/storage induction or reactivation and back shop repair/overhaul maintenance activities in accordance with applicable aircraft/component maintenance manuals, FAA regulations and Company policies and procedures.

The aircraft maintenance mechanic must accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all airplanes, as well as perform inspections as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
