  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

The mechanic will maintain, repair, and modify structural components on C130 model aircraft. The qualified applicant must have the experience and ability to perform the following:

Independently perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions such as removal and installations of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical components, and control systems to assure conformance to procedures, performances and test specifications.

Essential Functions:

Provides leadership, technical expertise and guidance while performing various operational, functional tests and repairs of avionics/electronic, aircraft equipment and systems to ensure a defect free aircraft. Provides superior technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.

The Sheetmetal Technician II works under general supervision to safely layout, fabricate and install parts, equipment and fabricated items on aircraft following established operating procedures. All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards and completed work should meet customer expectations.

Essential Functions:

  • Complies with company preventative maintenance programs and manufacturer recommended service requirements.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Makes necessary repairs and returns aircraft to service.
  • Complete proper inspection forms, records and log entries as required.
  • Attend yearly training to maintain currency and improve skill sets.
  • Plans research and development programs for flight simulator requirements.
  • Translates contract requirements into work requirements, processes and tasks.
  • Manages customer and supplier relationships.
  • Researches and responds to specialized technical questions from customers on flight simulator operations, service and regulatory concerns.
