Position: Full Time and Part Time shifts availableShift: Wednesday through SundayTime: 0900-1800A&P Mechanic Job DescriptionA&P mechanic inspects, services and repairs aircraft to ensure they're operating correctly and safely. Aircraft mechanics are responsible for ensuring that aircraft are serviced on a regular maintenance schedule and that any discrepancies are corrected per FAA regulations. Mechanics may work on different parts of the aircraft, such as the engine, airframe, landing gear components, and various parts of the interior.A mechanic may work with specialized tooling and instruments designed specifically for aircraft maintenance. The job may also involve standing for long periods of time, performing job duties on ladders and working at various heights. Mechanics service different types of aircraft, such as helicopters, jets and propeller-driven airplanes.A&P Mechanic DutiesThe job duties of an A&P mechanic vary from preventive maintenance to repairs. Routine inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, performing tests after making repairs or performing maintenance inspections. Job duties may vary based on which part of the aircraft is being worked on. Duties include annual inspections, 50 / 100 hour inspections, and correcting discrepancies such as worn brake pads, tires worn beyond limits, or various pilot reported squawks. Inspection tasks such as checking cable tension, repairing paint or securing a door so it seals properly. Engine tasks such as changing oil, inspecting per work cards, replacing cylinders or repairing a inoperative engine accessory.An A&P mechanic must know and follow all regulations set by the FAA. FAA regulations govern the maintenance schedules, inspections and repairs made to airplanes. The FAA conducts regular inspections and ensures regulations are being met by the business and its technicians.Aircraft serviced include Cessna, Piper, Cirrus, Champion, Diamond, Beechcraft, Mooney, Pitts, and some types of experimental aircraft. Business located Falcon Field in Mesa, Arizona. Flight school side of business operates single & multi engine general aviation aircraft. Maintenance shop set up to handle single and multi engine aircraft. Looking for candidates that are comfortable talking with clients, building & expanding maintenance operations.Starting pay dependent on GA / overall experience. 90 day probation period will apply if offered job. Requirements: 
  • A&P License
  • General Aviation experience required
  • Twin engine experience
  • Fabric + Composite experience preferred but not required
