Manages, stores and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment in an industrial establishment. Keeps records of tools/ equipment issued and returned by workers. Provides inventory and management of inventories and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks and stores new equipment; visually inspects for defects and reports damage.

Develops, implements and monitors quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Monitors and inspects documentation and performance of aircraft and support equipment maintenance, reviewing other people's work and determining accuracy and conformity.

Aircraft Mechanics/ Technicians inspect, diagnose, repair and monitor aircraft and aircraft systems such as structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, engines, power, and electrical/ electronic systems and components as assigned to work centers.

Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. Calculates such factors and rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.

  • Perform all duties of the job classification.
  • Manage all aspects of the work center assigned and ensure all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform administrative tasks needed for day-to-day work performed by work center personnel.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to supervise a team.
