Responsible for initial inspection, routine, non-routine maintenance and site surveillance of commercial aircraft undergoing maintenance and repair in an MRO environment.Review incoming aircraft maintenance flight logs for items of work required to accomplished at the Repair Station. Procure required forms and work orders, and transfers work to be accomplished to forms. Be responsible for the surveillance of all work in progress. Accept or reject work accomplished on all items generated by the work order. Be responsible for the entries in the aircraft maintenance flight logs, as well as airworthiness release. Check for proper installation, security, safety and workmanship. Pressure checks if necessary, and check for proper material and fasteners. Check for conformance to specifications per repair, maintenance or other relevant manual or applicable engineering instructions approved by the FAA. Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her lead or supervisor. Familiarity with the code of Federal Regulations.
Must have valid A&P License. HS Diploma or equivalent. Inspection experience on commercial Aircraft over 12,500 lbs. Minimum of 1 type of aircraft FAM Courses preferred, Must meet minimum requirements of Technician skill level in current VT MAE Trade Skill Progression.
