If you take pride in your work, want a challenge that inspires your best ideas, and enjoy being part of a winning team, this is the place for you.We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:Aircraft Mechanic / Crew Chief(U.S. Citizenship Required*)Seymour Johnson AFB, NC2018-7329Responsibilities:•General Mechanic/Crew Chief•Inspect F-15 aircraft structures, systems, components, and related systems. •Supervise and perform aircraft and component inspections. •Interpret inspection findings and determine adequacy of corrective actions. •Inspect and check components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation. •Inspect and operate powered and nonpowered aerospace ground equipment. •Inspect and identify aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair. •Review maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports to ensure complete documentation. •Inventory and maintain aircraft equipment.•Assemble, disassemble, and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. •Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul. •Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. •Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. •Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components. •Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). •Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements. •Oversee training. Work under general direction.
Qualification:•Required #8211; Able to obtain Interim Secret clearance. •Required #8211; Willing to travel on short notice. Refusal will be considered self-termination.•Required #8211; Willing to work nights and overtime as required on short notice•Possess own personal standard tools •F-15E preferred but not required. •Prefer prior engine run experience for 220/229 but not required.*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract. Education and Experience: •High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years#8217; related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
