Thank You!

As we approach the end of 2014, I want to take the time to thank our readers for reading our publication, and our advertisers for sponsoring the cost of publishing D.O.M.magazine.

We’ve had a great year, and are proud to have taken a clear lead among aviation maintenance publications.

Some of our success can be attributed to a commitment to continuous improvement. Instead of cutting costs, we’ve decided to continue investing in our magazine – for the benefit of our readers, and our advertisers.

We began the year with a fresh website re-design, followed by introducing a new digital platform on the web.  We then developed IOS, Android and Kindle applications, and transitioned later in the year to a thicker more durable paper that would last longer in your hands, and complement our advertisers’ print ads.

We’ve done all of this while continuing to provide D.O.M.magazine free to DOMs and maintenance managers in North America (and worldwide through our digital apps).

The fact that we continue to grow year-after-year is affirmation that we are doing something right.

Our growth is not without challenges. It is getting more and more difficult in the publishing buiness to continue to provide trade publications for free. Printing and postage increases typically outpace inflation. In an age where many publications have chosen to bail on print magazines and convert to digital magazines (a big cost saving), it’s difficult to raise ad prices to keep up with increased costs.

As a reader – this simply isn’t your problem. So why do I mention it?  I mention it because there is very simple way that you, as a reader, can help to ensure D.O.M.continues to be delivered free of charge to you – patronize our sponsors and advertisers and let them know that you saw their ads in our magazine! Yes, it’s that simple.

By letting them know that you saw their ad in D.O.M.magazine, and by purchasing their products and services, you are ensuring that these advertisers continue to sponsor your free copy of the magazine.

Along those same lines – we want to remind you that our website, www.DOMmagazine.com, is a growing and thriving website that you are sure to benefit if you visit it often.  We are continuously updating aviation news, posting new jobs listings, publishing our current issue, and blogging about current topics.  Additionally, DOMmagazine.com  contains back issues of D.O.M.magazine and is a great reference library for management articles that we have published in the past.

Also, our web advertisers provide direct links to their websites to make it easy to find more information on their products and services.

I would also like to encourage all readers to sign up for our monthly newsletter called Management Insight.  Our monthly newsletter is a great breifing of current D.O.M.articles, news and upcoming events and is delivered directly to your email.  To sign up for the newsletter simply go to www.dommagazine.com and click on the black “subscribe” tab on the left side of the page. Simply enter your email, and you are done.

Thank you for reading and supporting D.O.M.magazine. Here’s wishing you a safe and prosperous 2015!
