SUPERIOR AIR PARTS ANNOUNCES THAT WES RAYON HAS JOINED THE COMPANY AS DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION AND INVENTORY CONTROL

Keith Chatten, executive VP and general manager for Superior Air Parts, Inc., announcesthat aviation industry veteran Wes Rayon has joined the company as its new director of Production and Inventory Control.

“It takes more than just superior products to achieve success in today’s highly-competitive business and general aviation market. It takes superior people on our team who can row in the same direction to be able to provide high quality products at a great price and have them available for our customers,” Chatten says. “We’re very happy with what we’ve been able to accomplish so far, but we recognize that there is always room to get even better.

“Wes will play a key part in helping to continue the growth and even further improve our efficiency,” he says. “The experience that he brings in inventory management, enterprise resource planning, and process improvements will make Superior Air Parts even stronger.”

“I’ve been in aviation for a long time and I’m really excited to be part of shaping the future of Superior Air Parts and expanding its footprint in the markets we serve,” Rayon says. “I feel the key to success is to focus on the established fundamentals and then find ways to systematically implement process changes that improve production without adding layers. The more natural you can make the journey to improvement, the faster and more completely the team will embrace it.”

Prior to joining Superior Air Parts, Rayon was president of Supply Chain Extensions, LLC where he had extensive experience in providing supplier surveillance for advanced aircraft programs for a number of aircraft OEMs including Boeing, Gulfstream, Lockheed Martin and Bell Helicopter. Previously, Rayon held the position of senior director, Supply Chain Management for Continental Motors, Inc., in Mobile, AL.

Rayon studied Business Administration at Mackinaw College. He also has APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, and certification from the American Kaizen Institute.
