North Texas Business Aviation Association Awards First Scholarship to UNT Aviation Logistics Student

North Texas Business Aviation Association (NTBAA) awarded their first ever Scholarship to an aviation logistics student at the University of North Texas in Denton. Amy Coronado, a junior at UNT and Texas native, is the recipient of the $3000 scholarship award. Amy’s interest in global aviation and her strong scholastic accomplishments in the newly formed Aviation Logistics program are what led the NTBAA to offer her the scholarship.

“As a young association, NTBAA represents local general aviation professionals in North Texas so we are excited to team up with the University of North Texas and the Aviation Logistics scholarship program,” says Ray Santa, steering committee director and scholarship program leader for NTBAA, and director of business development for Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI). “This is a good match for us, and we are proud to support talented students like Amy, that are destined for a career in Aviation.”

The Scholarship was awarded to Amy at a ceremony held at UNT and will support her educational expenses for the 2011-2012 academic school year.

The NTBAA is an association that brings together the growing North Texas Business Aviation Community. It provides a forum to network, educate, mentor, share best practices, and represent the interests of the business aviation industry. This group is made up of local flight operations, manufacturers and associated business aviation vendors, suppliers, and service providers, and it creates a platform to interact with policy makers and officials whose decisions affect this industry at the grass roots level. It also brings those in the North Texas area together for a free exchange of ideas and concerns and foster both professional and educational opportunities.
