Maintenance Tail Dock

Factory Supply Inc. is announces the successful installation of a new generation aircraft maintenance tail dock at AAR Inc’s hangar, located at Miami International Airport.  This revolutionary tail dock has been custom designed to handle four different aircraft types, the Boeing 767, 757, the A320 Airbus and the MD 80.

The dock is operated by hydraulic lifts and allows for vertical and angled positioning of its working deck surfaces to enable full access to horizontal and vertical stabilizers.  Adjustable “kick out” plates can be positioned to fill in open spaces between decks and the aircraft fuselage and the design provides ample storage space to accommodate working tools and parts.

Factory Supply, Inc. expects that these types of custom design will become more common in airports around the county. For more information visit www.factorysupply.net or www.aircraftmaintenanceplatforms.com.
