JDA/NWDS Partnership Provides Complete SMS Solution

JDA Aviation Technology Solutions (JDA) and Northwest Data Solutions (NWDS) announce a partnership to provide a full suite of Safety Management Systems (SMS) for air carriers, airports and maintenance repair overhaul (MRO) organizations, in advance of pending FAA regulations that will mandate such SMS systems.

The JDA/NWDS team will allow all aviation operators, especially those with limited safety staff and resources, to take advantage of outsourced SMS services provided by JDA and NWDS, including a Virtual Safety Office (VSO) and Safety Analyst Mentor (SAM) service.

The JDA/NWDS team will use SMS Pro™, a web-based application that provides a hosted VSO and a dedicated SAM for small operators that want a robust SMS without having to increase staff. The VSO/SAM Service will provide:

• Hazard /Safety event identification, analysis, tracking and assignment

• Trend analysis

• Assist with Risk Analysis

• Reports

• Coaching, training and mentoring.

• Track and manage action item assignments

• Update stored manuals, documents, policies and procedures.
