RDD Becomes West Coast’s Only Installation Center for Thermawing™

Company Expands Redmond Facility to Meet Demand for De-icing Equipment

December 8, 2009 (Redmond, OR) – Today RDD Enterprises, LLC announced they are now an authorized installation center for Kelly Aerospace Thermawing de-ice systems for certified aircraft. “For many years RDD has been installing the experimental version of the Thermawing de-ice system, known as Therm-X™. RDDs experience installing the Therm-X system on experimental aircraft, combined with their prior experience installing the certified system on Columbia aircraft with outstanding customer service makes RDD one of the premier installation centers for our product line,” stated Dr. Erik Pederson of Kelly Aerospace. RDD installation and maintenance services for the Thermawing System has the full support and endorsement of Kelly Aerospace Thermal Systems.

In order to meet pent-up demand for Thermawing in the Cessna 300/350/400 market, RDD expanded its maintenance facility by moving into a hangar adjacent to the headquarters at Roberts Field in Redmond, Oregon. “We’re excited to once again be involved with the finest certified aircraft on the market with the most advanced de-ice equipment available in the industry,” said RDD Business Manager, David McRae. “We’ve assembled a stellar team of individuals with the knowledge and technical expertise to modify, service and maintain the Cessna 300, 350 and 400 line of aircraft.” Collectively the RDD team (David McRae, Justin Reimer, Sam Meier, Matt Lawler) has 25 years experience servicing and maintaining the Cessna (formerly Columbia) aircraft product line.

McRae oozed enthusiasm about this new facility, “Our experience has proven that we will be successful performing flawless installation work, while providing the highest level of customer care in a professional, safe and accommodating atmosphere. Our team is tailored to meet the needs of the 300/35/400 owner and is the best in the industry!”

In addition to the Thermawing installation services, RDD performs annual inspections, preventive maintenance and various other services for the Columbia/Cessna aircraft. RDDs knowledge of the 300, 350 and 400 product line is unmatched. “RDD is more of a ‘boutique shop’ since we’ve become experts in servicing specific aircraft models rather than attempting to service large volumes or random models and types. We’re all about high customer satisfaction,” stated McRae.

RDD Enterprises, LLC based in Redmond, Oregon is a leading experimental aircraft research, design and development firm specializing in systems development, refinement, modification, fabrication, construction and customer support.  RDD is a distributor of Kelly Aerospace and Precise Flight products and is the exclusive supplier of Therm-X™ electro-thermal wing and propeller de-icing, Illumnin-X™ lighting systems, Electri-X™ redundant electrical systems and SpeedBrakes.
